Day 1: You Have to Start Somewhere
I've heard once you reach a certain age, that your metabolism starts to slow down, and things that you use to eat carelessly start to show up in your body. I believe I have reached that point!!
It seems to have come out of the thin air. One day, I tried on a pair of my pants; too snug! I tried on one of my skirts; too snug! What the heck is going on I thought? I lifted my shirt and realized I had a bit of a bulge!! YIKES! Where did that come from?
I'm not over weight; in fact, most people would categorize me as thin. However, philosophy is that work on you for you; meaning whatever your ideal weight is or should be, work on that. If I were to compare myself to someone who weighs more than me, of course I'd think there's absolutely nothing I'd need to work on. However, when I compare myself to myself; 5ft, 3in, ideal weight for MY height, ideal body structure for MY body, I know what I need to work on.
I'm not exactly sure how much weight I want to lose; maybe 5-10lbs (I honestly don't know if 10lbs is way too much for me). But, what I do know is the muffin top has got to go!
While I mostly eat healthy and workout here and there, this is Day 1 of my commitment to my life transformation of healthy eating, working out, and living. I was told that it's good to journal things especially when you have a goal because you are more likely to hold yourself accountable and stick to that goal. So, here goes a whole lot of something!
